Work Work Work

ITunes is keeping me company, on random. I often think it's trying to tell me something with its "random" choices, but this time I have no clue. I feel that with 1659 songs to choose from, it's overrepresenting Tori, the Church, TMBG, and Yves Duteil a bit - are they connected in some way? Part of an international plot to brainwash me with subliminal messages?

I started it on:
Alpha Beta Gaga (Mark Ronson Vocal remix) - Air

"Random" output:

  • If Only You Knew - Moxy Früvous
  • Crucify (Golgotha Mix) - Tori Amos
  • Single Row Zydeco - Grievous Angels
  • Silent All These Years - Tori Amos
  • Twisting (Live in Chicago) - They Might Be Giants
  • Every Little Bit (Broadcasts Vol. 5) - Patty Griffin
  • Walk the Walk - Poe
  • Opportunities (Let's Make Lots Of Money) - Pet Shop Boys
  • Come Out And Play - Offspring
  • La chanson des vieux amants - Yves Duteil
  • Mother Mother - Tracy Bonham
  • The Microorganism - Boiled In Lead
  • Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, Pt. 1 - The Flaming Lips
  • Earthbound - Rodney Crowell
  • Rasputin - Boiled In Lead
  • Madeline and Nine (Live in Baltimore) - Mike Doughty
  • Supernova - Liz Phair
  • Roam - B-52's
  • Under The Milky Way - The Church
  • You Surround Me – Erasure
  • So Pure - Alanis Morissette
  • She Never Said (Single Remix) - The Church
  • Twisting - They Might Be Giants
  • Sabotage - Beastie Boys
  • Pour les enfants de monde entier - Yves Duteil
  • Head Like A Hole – Nine Inch Nails
  • Belly – Slow Dog
  • Pop Will Eat Itself - Wise Up Sucker!

Two Tori is not too Tori!

While doing laundry tonight, I watched a Tivo'd episode of "The Alternative", VH1 Classic's show about the non-mainstream music of the 70's, 80's, and 90's. Early in the show, having read this entry, I said to myself that they're going to show a video by The Church. Last video in the hour show -- "Under the Milky Way". Coincidence? I think not.

Where Am I?
