My favorite name that we absolutely rejected out of hand: Wenche. In Norwegian, it's a girl's name pronounced "Ven-kuh". Riiiiiiiiiiiight.

I recently learned of someone with two children, named Ruby and C. Yes, C. And Ruby. After programming languages. Please reject this concept as well.

What?! Ruby is very very nice!
And if it could be Mungo Parks, you have a very nice literary precedent.

I agree that Ruby is very nice. However, with my luck, if any programming names are allowed, I will end up with a child named Python.

Oh I like Ruby, too. It's just the "named after a programming language" part that blows my mind.
