Friends, I have pondered for almost a month how I should deal with the inch high stack of cards on my desk from BlogHer. Long story short, I'm going to work my way through them and link to a post by each one, perhaps with a bit of detail about how we met, perhaps not.
Any more detail about how and why I am using this method would bore even me, so here we go.
You must see what Stephanie of A Year of Crockpotting recently did after running a half marathon.
Laura of No Appropriate Behavior loves to high five people, and she took my favorite photograph of 2008 thus far. If she didn't live so far away, she'd be perfect.
Genie of ...in a bottle has blog cards were so cute that I told her I didn't know whether to marry her or stab her to death, which is WAY inappropriate to say to someone you don't know. She is apparently in the middle of a lingering home renovation project and you should read this post about it.
Laurie totally cracked me up with this quick post about Matthew McConaghey or however you spell his damn name.
Maria is a charming and gracious person with a beautiful speaking voice and a great sense of style. If you have a chance to hang out with her, do it. She is currently asking for suggestions about how to deal with it when life seems to be repeating itself.
Why, why did I never post this awesome Valentine's Day communication to the federal government? I must not love you.
Sometimes I get suspicious of religious people. I know it's bad of me, but I do. But then I see something like this nationwide demonstration against torture and I think, y'know, I need to get over being so prejudiced.
Today was busy. Busy busy busy. Paying work, then vaccuuming, then off to the park, then the hour long saga of getting Boy Detective to sleep. So a quick post and then off to my own bed, hopefully to stay there for more than 45 minutes before the next round of screaming begins.
(Screen reader users: feel free to give me feedback over whether it's fair to post links to political cartoons without providing a transcript, as long as you can tell what the link is so you don't follow it for no reason. Still thinking this through for personal blogs.)
I can't even read this (scanned-in newspaper article) without laughing. The victim of this crime needs some personal sharing boundaries.
A few quick posts I enjoyed lately, with my own titles:
I dare you to start using this phrase.
Next time, the note will be from the salad I forgot in the back of the fridge.
I so can't wait until Boy Detective talks back if he's going to be this clever.
Yes, but almost any answer is correct.
Note that she grew up like I did, using "coke" as a generic. When specificity is called for, though, she uses the actual name of the product in question.

Next time I'm accused of having too much fabric, I'm going to use Debra's excuse that my stash is "elegant, organized by theme, and a true snapshot of the color trends from the past X years." That makes it ok.
